Penn State’s Multimedia and Print Center Wins United States Postal Service Award
The Multimedia and Print Center (MPC) at Penn State was recently recognized with the Mailing Innovation and Digital Award for the Eastern Area.
Presented by the United States Postal Service (USPS), the award recognizes MPC for working with Penn State's Office of Admissions to automate the process that sends the offer of admission to students. Abbas Badani, director of MPC, persuaded the Office of Admissions that the automated process will save money as well as decrease the cycle time for offers to reach students.
"This is a wonderful recognition of the MPC's work and creativity in support of Penn State," says David Gray, senior vice president for Finance and Business/Treasurer.
"This award was unexpected, and it's an honor that all of us in MPC are proud of," says Badani.
The Postmaster General of the United States and USPS leadership will present the award at the 2017 National Postal Forum in Baltimore, during a May 24 luncheon.
